Professional Profile
I went to medical school at the University of Birmingham, and undertook my orthopaedic training in the West Midlands.  Following this I spent a year at the world famous Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
This is the busiest trauma centre in Canada, and here I perfected my skills in complex trauma surgery, including pelvic and acetabular (hip socket) surgery.
I also obtained further training in knee and hip replacement surgery.
My clinical practice at Addenbrooke’s is primarily based around treating adults with hip or knee problems, or patients who have broken bones, or sustained a sporting injury.
I have a similar practice at both the Cambridge Spire Hospital and Cambridge Nuffield Hospital.
For hip replacements I use the cemented ‘Exeter’ hip, this has excellent long term results, and is currently accepted as one of the best hip replacements available.
For knee replacements I also use a well proven cemented implant.
I run a private fracture clinic at the Spire Hospital, along with 2 other specialist trauma consultants from Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Our aim with this clinic is to provide patients with 1st class specialist opinions and treatment, at a time to suit them in a pleasant environment with no waiting.  www.cambridgefractureclinic.co.uk

Personal Profile
I live with my family in a small village in south Cambridgeshire, and love quiet village life.  My young son keeps me busy when I am not working, demanding to play football and ‘bundle’ in the garden – something we both like!
As a family we love country walks as well as entertaining.
Our weekends often involve having friends over for dinner and a good glass of wine or 2! I enjoy keeping fit, and regularly mountain bike and play squash.
We ski most winters.
